MrLinQ Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 — Effective date: 1 November 2026

Last updated: 1 November 2026

1. What this Policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how MrLinQ ("MrLinQ", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the MrLinQ website, and what the MrLinQ mobile app does instead. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle personal data.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a website remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language or whether you are signed in, and can be used to understand how a website is used. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels; we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this Policy for simplicity.

3. The mobile app does not use cookies

The MrLinQ mobile app does not use cookies, because cookies are a web browser technology. The app stores a small amount of information directly on your device instead — a secure sign-in token, your chosen language, and a few preference settings (such as filters you last used) — purely so the app functions correctly. This is not used for tracking or advertising and is covered by our Privacy Policy rather than this Cookie Policy.

4. Cookies on the MrLinQ website

When the MrLinQ website is live, it will use the following categories of cookies. The table below will be completed with the exact cookies in use once the website's hosting, analytics, and other tools are finalised.

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the website to work and cannot be switched off. They do not require your consent under Cyprus and EU law, because without them basic functions (such as staying signed in or submitting a form securely) would not work.

4.2 Analytics cookies (optional — only with your consent)

These help us understand how the website is used, so we can find and fix problems and improve it. They are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Where possible, we configure analytics so that IP addresses are shortened and no cross-site advertising profile is built from them.

4.3 Marketing cookies (optional — only with your consent)

We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this table, and any such cookies will be set only if you accept them.

5. Managing your cookie choices

When you first visit the website, a cookie banner will let you accept or reject non-essential (analytics and marketing) cookies before they are set. Strictly necessary cookies are always active, because the site cannot function properly without them.

To change your choice later, use the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer at any time.

Through your browser, you can also see, delete, and block cookies generally (not just ours) — check your browser's help pages for instructions, as the exact steps differ by browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and others). Blocking all cookies may mean some parts of the website do not work correctly.

6. Other similar technologies

If we use any other tracking technology on the website in future — for example, a pixel to measure whether an advertisement led to a visit — we will describe it here and, where it is not strictly necessary, only activate it with your consent.

7. Third-party content

Some pages on the website may embed content from other services (for example, an embedded map or video). Those services may set their own cookies, which are governed by their own cookie and privacy policies, not this one. We will name any such service here once it is in use: [THIRD-PARTY EMBEDS, IF ANY].

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes — most notably once the MrLinQ website is built and specific tools are chosen. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be reflected in an updated cookie banner where appropriate.

9. Language

This Policy is provided in Greek, English, Arabic and Russian. The English text is the master version. If there is any inconsistency between versions, the English version prevails until a certified Greek translation has been published, after which the Greek version prevails for users in Cyprus.
