MrLinQ Terms of Use
Version 1.0 — Effective date: 1 November 2026
Last updated: 1 November 2026
1. Who we are and acceptance of these Terms
MrLinQ ("MrLinQ", "we", "us", "our") is a mobile and web directory that helps construction companies, contractors, suppliers and specialist trades in Cyprus find and contact each other directly. MrLinQ is operated as a sole-trader business by:
Panayiotis Yiakoumi, trading as MrLinQ
Registered address: 299 Strovolos Avenue, Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus
Contact: support@mrlinq.app
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and MrLinQ. By creating an account, browsing the MrLinQ app or website, or using any part of the service described below (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms, and "you" in these Terms refers to that business as well as to you personally.
2. What MrLinQ is — and what it is not
MrLinQ is a directory and introduction service. It lets a construction company, contractor or other business search for a subcontractor, supplier or specialist trade in Cyprus, view a profile, and contact that business directly by telephone, WhatsApp, email or website.
MrLinQ is not, and must not be treated as:
- a party to any agreement, quotation, contract or arrangement made between a contractor and a subcontractor;
- a recruitment agency or an employment platform for individual workers;
- a tendering, procurement or project-management platform;
- a payment processor, escrow service or guarantor for any payment between users;
- a certifying body — verification on MrLinQ (Section 8) is a limited administrative check, not a professional certification.
Everything that happens after an introduction — negotiations, quotations, contracts, payments, site work, disputes, and project outcomes — happens entirely outside the Service and is solely between the businesses involved. MrLinQ has no visibility into and no control over those arrangements.
3. Eligibility
To create an account you must:
- be at least 16 years old;
- have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract;
- be registering on behalf of a genuine business, trade, or self-employed professional activity (an account is not for private individuals seeking personal employment); and
- provide accurate, current and complete information.
Anyone, including someone under 16, may browse the public parts of the Service without creating an account. MrLinQ may ask for reasonable evidence of eligibility and may refuse or suspend registration where this Section is not satisfied.
4. Accounts
4.1 Account types
The Service supports several account types (for example subcontractor, supplier, mobile service unit, contractor, and private individual), each with different features, as described in the app. The admin-editable catalogue of account types in the app is the authoritative list at any time.
4.2 One account per business; account security
Each business should maintain one account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Tell us immediately at support@mrlinq.app if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised use of your account where you failed to keep your credentials secure.
4.3 Accuracy of information
You must keep your account and profile information accurate. You are solely responsible for the content of your profile, including business details, trades, service areas, descriptions, photographs, and contact details. MrLinQ periodically prompts businesses to confirm their details remain correct (Section 9) but does not independently verify most profile content.
5. Subcontractor and business listings
5.1 Free registration
Creating and maintaining a standard business profile is currently free. MrLinQ may introduce paid features for businesses in the future; any such change will be announced in advance and will not apply retroactively to change what you agreed to when you registered.
5.2 No obligation to accept work
Publishing a profile does not obligate you to accept any project, quote for any work, or respond to any enquiry. Contact from a contractor through the Service does not create any obligation on your part.
5.3 Content standards
Your profile content must:
- be accurate and relate to a genuine, currently operating business;
- not impersonate another business or person;
- not include private client information without that client's knowledge and consent (see also our Privacy Policy, Section 4.3);
- not include unlawful, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory or misleading content;
- not include contact details, pricing, or promotional content unrelated to your business's construction services;
- comply with applicable Cyprus law, including consumer protection and advertising standards where relevant.
We may remove or edit profile content, or reject a submission, that does not meet these standards, and may ask you to correct it before republishing.
5.4 Duplicate profiles
MrLinQ uses automated checks (business name, phone, email, registration number) to detect likely duplicate profiles. Suspected duplicates are sent for admin review rather than deleted automatically. Operating multiple accounts to misrepresent separate businesses, inflate presence in search results, or evade a suspension is prohibited.
6. Contractor accounts, subscriptions and billing
6.1 Subscription plan
Contractor accounts (and other account types that require search access) may need an active subscription to use certain features, such as viewing full contact details. Current plan structure, pricing and any trial period are shown in the app and are admin-configurable; as of this version, the plan is a single tier with a free trial period followed by a monthly or annual subscription fee, shown in the app in euro before checkout.
6.2 Billing through app stores
Where you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your payment, billing, auto-renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and refund policies, not by MrLinQ directly. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through your app store account settings. MrLinQ does not receive or store your full payment card details.
6.3 Trials and manual access
Where MrLinQ offers a free trial or grants access manually (for example during early launch, before payment processing is fully configured), such access may be limited, modified, or withdrawn by MrLinQ with reasonable notice, except where you have already paid for a period of access, which will not be shortened.
6.4 Contact-view limits and fair use
To protect subcontractors from automated data harvesting, the Service applies limits to how many contact details an account can reveal per hour and per month (see our Privacy Policy, Section 6). These limits are a normal part of the Service, not a defect, and apply even to paying subscribers.
6.5 No refund for misuse
Where your account is suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms (Section 12), you are not entitled to a refund for any unused portion of a paid subscription, except where required by applicable consumer law.
7. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not permit others to:
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service by automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers) outside the app's own intended use;
- use contact details obtained through the Service to build a competing directory or database, or to resell or share such data with third parties;
- use contact details obtained through the Service for unsolicited bulk marketing, spam, or communications unrelated to a genuine construction project enquiry;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with the contact-reveal limits, verification process, or any other security or access-control feature;
- create a false, impersonated, or misleading account or profile;
- upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems, or interfere with its normal operation;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes another person's rights (including intellectual property, privacy, or data protection rights);
- post content that is defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action described in Section 12, and may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
8. Verification
MrLinQ offers an optional verification process for business profiles, involving the review of information and documents you submit (for example registration, VAT, insurance or licence details). Documents are handled as described in our Privacy Policy, Section 8.
A verification badge means only that the specific items reviewed were checked on a given date by MrLinQ. It is not, and must not be relied upon as:
- a guarantee of the quality, safety, or reliability of the business's work;
- confirmation of the business's financial stability or solvency;
- confirmation of current insurance, licensing, or regulatory compliance beyond the date and items checked;
- any assurance that future work will be completed satisfactorily or at all.
Contractors must carry out their own due diligence before engaging any business found through the Service, regardless of its verification status. MrLinQ may remove a verification badge at any time if it becomes aware that reviewed information is no longer accurate.
9. Profile freshness
MrLinQ may periodically ask businesses to confirm that their profile details remain correct (for example, once every 6–12 months). Confirming is optional and does not affect your ability to keep using the Service; profiles that go unconfirmed for an extended period may be ranked lower in search results or flagged for review, but are not automatically removed.
10. Ratings and reviews
A ratings and reviews feature may be available in the Service, subject to an admin-controlled setting, and may not be enabled at launch. Where enabled: reviews must be honest, based on a genuine interaction, and must not include defamatory, false, or private third-party information; MrLinQ may moderate, translate (see our Privacy Policy, Section 5), or remove reviews that breach these Terms; and businesses may report a review they believe is false or abusive using the reporting feature (Section 11).
11. Reporting profiles
You may report a profile for reasons including incorrect information, the business no longer operating, a duplicate listing, misleading content, inappropriate content, or suspected fraud. We review reports and may take any of the actions in Section 12. Submitting a report in bad faith, or to harass a competitor, is itself a breach of these Terms.
12. Suspension, restriction and termination
We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate your account and remove or hide your profile, at our reasonable discretion, where:
- you breach these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or any published platform rules;
- we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, harassment, a duplicate or fake profile, or harm to other users or to the Service;
- required by law or by a competent authority;
- your subscription payment fails and is not resolved within a reasonable period.
Where practical, we will explain the reason for the action taken. You may appeal a suspension by contacting support@mrlinq.app. Significant decisions affecting your account are logged in our administrative audit trail.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy, Section 9.
13. Intellectual property
13.1 MrLinQ's content
The Service, including its design, software, trademarks (including the MrLinQ name and logo), and all content we create (such as trade and district catalogues, help text, and platform branding) belongs to MrLinQ or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as the Service itself allows in normal use.
13.2 Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (profile text, photographs, logos, and similar material). By submitting it, you grant MrLinQ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service — for example, showing your profile in search results and on your public page. This licence ends when the content is deleted from the Service, except for copies kept as permitted under our Privacy Policy (for example, in backups or logs, for the periods described there).
You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by Cyprus law:
- MrLinQ does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any profile, review, or other user-generated content;
- MrLinQ does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, licensing, insurance status, or successful completion of any work carried out by any business found through the Service;
- MrLinQ does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Service, and may suspend it for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control;
- Any decision to engage, hire, or work with a business found through the Service is made entirely at your own risk and following your own due diligence.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Cyprus law.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Cyprus law:
- MrLinQ is not liable for any dispute, loss, damage, or claim arising between a contractor and a subcontractor, or between any two users of the Service, whether arising from information on a profile, a project undertaken, non-payment, defective work, or any other matter;
- MrLinQ is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, business, contracts, or opportunity, arising from your use of the Service;
- MrLinQ's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service, however arising, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid MrLinQ in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) €100.
This Section does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold MrLinQ harmless against reasonable losses, claims, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right, except to the extent caused by MrLinQ's own breach or negligence.
17. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update, add to, or discontinue features of the Service, and may update these Terms from time to time — for example to reflect new features, changed providers, or changes in the law. The "Last updated" date shows when these Terms last changed. For significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and may delete your account.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The courts of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at support@mrlinq.app so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
19. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the entire agreement between you and MrLinQ regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreement on the same subject.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be read to achieve its intent as closely as the law allows.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of the business (see our Privacy Policy, Section 7.4), and will notify you if this happens.
- Language. These Terms are provided in Greek, English, Arabic and Russian. The English text is the master version; if there is any inconsistency, the English version prevails until a certified Greek translation has been published, after which the Greek version prevails for users in Cyprus.
